Pocket Lint 1.1 is well underway and should be submitted to Apple in one week. Some of the new features we’ve been hearing users want are:

-Multiple currencies ($,€,£,¥,kr,元,₱,Kč,¢,Fr, leave any others in the comments and we should be able to add it)

-Scheduled transactions. Soon you’ll be able to let Pocket Lint know that you pay Netflix 21.95 a month and it will remember. The only issue is since developer apps can’t run in the background the badge overlayed on Pocket Lint’s icon can become inaccurate if a scheduled transaction has happened but the user hasn’t enter Pocket Lint yet.

-Reconciling. Need to make sure your bank statements match what you recorded in Pocket Lint? A few checkmarks later and you’ll know whatever you need to from Pocket Lint.

-Misc tweaks you’ll never know about but will speed up your experience.

There’s been a lot of discussion on where settings should be placed on the iPhone, in the app itself or in the Settings app. Personally with Pocket Lint, since most of the settings only need to be adjusted once in its lifetime, I’ve gone ahead and added settings to the main Settings app. This can lead to some confusion however since I’ve heard some users wonder how to turn off the badge overlay. Currently that’s the only option in the Settings app however there will be a couple more with the release of 1.1.
